My two passions in geography are geomorphology and development geography. I am passionate about fieldwork and have worked mainly in the Canadian High Arctic and East Africa. My current research focuses on poverty/inequality in East Africa and explores local understandings of poverty reduction strategies. I am conducting a case study in the city of Kisumu in Western Kenya.
