Current research:
My research lies at the intersection of environmental studies and rural livelihood development, focusing on forest communities in the Peruvian Amazon. My project will examine both the environmental and socio-economic impacts of an emerging agroforestry system combining rosewood and cacao in the Loreto region, with particular attention to the underlying drivers of this crop transition. I am especially interested in the relationship between rural communities and their environment, seeking to merge scientific inquiry with a genuine curiosity about people and their ways of living with the forest
