Abstract. There is a global energy transition occurring, including in Canada. This energy transition is critical to limit warming to 1.5C. There is much research that looks at the supply side of the energy transition. But what about people and households? How will households energy transition? What does the energy transition entail for households and are we ready? In this talk, I will discuss household energy use in Canada, the challenges facing the residential sector as we transition to net-zero, as well as the policy landscape.

Speaker. Runa Das, Associate Professor, College of Interdisciplinary Studies, Royal Roads University
