CINE Student Symposium
Join Us for the First CINE Student Symposium!
The Center for Indigenous Peoples’ Nutrition and Environment (CINE) invites the McGill community to the first edition of the CINE Student Symposium, a new annual initiative led by the student committee at CINE. This event aims to strengthen the visibility and impact of student-led research and foster deeper engagement with collaborative projects conducted alongside Indigenous communities.
We invite graduate and undergraduate students to present their research projects. Whether your work explores Indigenous food systems, public health, environmental sustainability, Indigenous methodologies, or food sovereignty, we welcome your voice.
The event will be held on November 20, 2025, from 1:30- 3:30 PM in a hybrid format, with in-person participation at the faculty Lounge (MS2-022), Macdonald Campus.
The symposium will be followed by a networking session for attendees to engage with presenters, faculty, and Indigenous Advisory Board members. Food will be provided to support a welcoming and engaging environment.
This is a unique opportunity to:
- Connect with peers and mentors
- Share ideas and experiences
- Explore pathways for collaboration and future research
The session will include a facilitated discussion on how McGill, FAES, CINE, and students can contribute to reconciliation through research and education.
