Biography:
Dr. Lavallee is an Assistant Professor at McGill University, jointly appointed in the Department of Equity, Ethics and Policy
and the Department of Philosophy. They are also a member of the Centre for Research in Ethics (CRÉ).
They work in philosophy of psychiatry and philosophy of mind, as these intersect with social epistemology, feminist philosophy, and ethics. Their research explores how the environments we inhabit (social, institutional, technological) shape emotion, agency, and self-understanding, and what this means for questions of mental health equity and justice.
