I am a clinician-scientist at the Centre for Health Outcomes Research at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre and a general pediatrician at the Montreal Children's Hospital. My research program examines the organization and delivery of health services to children, especially those who are medically and socially vulnerable, as well as the creating high quality evidence for the care of children in primary care and the inpatient hospital setting. I am a clinician-scientist completing a CIHR New Investigator Salary Award. I am principal investigator or co-investigator in studies using large health administrative data, clinical cohorts, innovative trials, and qualitative designs. I have published on the gaps in refugee care for children in Canada and am completed a CIHR and FRQS funded study on the quality of primary care for children in Quebec, focusing on the disparities in socioeconomic status. I am co-lead of the Montreal site for TARGet Kids!, a primary care research network, focused on optimizing health and healthcare in childhood to improve lifelong outcomes. My studies aim at working with knowledge users (such as decision makers and administrators of healthcare, as well as practicing clinicians) to influence healthcare policy and the delivery of healthcare to children.

Research focuses on the organization and delivery of health services to children, including primary care and care for common childhood illnesses such as asthma. I am currently conducting a study on the quality of primary care for children in Quebec, focusing on the disparities in outcomes among vulnerable children, including those of different socioeconomic status and those with chronic diseases. I am also examining the evidence behind practices for routine well-child visits to primary care providers. My studies aim at working with knowledge users (the decision makers and administrators of health care, as well as practicing clinicians and families) to influence healthcare policy and the delivery of health care to children.
