Therapeutic Approaches

Therapeutic approaches include occupational therapy and physical therapy.

Occupational therapy  enables children with cerebral palsy to achieve independence in all areas of their life. This intervention engages the child in positive, fun activities to enhance cognitive, physical, and fine motor skills and increase  self-esteem and sense of accomplishment.

Physical therapy for cerebral palsy treatment consists of activities and education to improve flexibility, strength, mobility. The goal of physical therapy is to maximize functional control of the body, or increase gross motor function.
