Palliative Care McGill -

The mission of Palliative Care McGill is to improve the field of palliative care and enable persons with life-threatening and life limiting illnesses and their families to live with optimal quality of life.  Palliative Care McGill aims to achieve these objectives by becoming a center for academic excellence under the following four headings:

Interdisciplinary research
Interdisciplinary education
Support to social policy development and community outreach
International collaboration


McGill Whole Person Care -

The mission of the McGill Programs in Integrated Whole Person Care is to transform Western Medicine by synergizing the power of modern biomedicine with the potential for healing of every person who seeks the help of a health care practitioner.  We plan to achieve this objective by serving as champions for whole person care at McGill and in the wider community through our teaching, research and translation of knowledge.

Réseau de soins palliatifs du Québec  -  (French only)

The Réseau de soins palliatifs du Québec is an association whose mission is to facilitate access to quality palliative care for the population of Québec.  It addresses many of the questions relating to information, dissemination, promotion and education in palliative care and end of life care.


Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence-

The Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence opened in 2002 as a 23 bed residence, where terminally ill patients could spend their final days in comfort and dignity in a warm, home-like environment, close to their family and in their community.


Canadian Virtual Hospice  -

The Virtual Hospice is one first places to start when seeking information and support on palliative and end of life care, loss and grief.  

It covers a wealth of topics including symptoms, decisions, providing care, emotional and spiritual health, communications and financial concerns.  Visitors to the site can also ask a question of a professional when more information or suggestions are needed.


Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association -

The CHPCA is the national voice for hospice palliative care in Canada.  Advancing and advocating for quality end of life hospice palliative care in Canada, its work includes public policy, public education and awareness.  Established in 1991, its volunteer Board of Directors is composed of hospice palliative care workers and volunteers from Canadian provinces and territories as well as members-at-large.




International Congress on Palliative Care -

The International Congress on Palliative Care is the longest-running congress on palliative care. It is hosted biennially by Palliative Care McGill and is especially well-known for its well-balanced, interdisciplinary programme

International Association for Hospice & Palliative Care -

e Hospice-

is a globally run resource for information on hospice, palliative and end-of-life care from around the world.  It provides commentary and analysis on issues related to care, education, policy and research.  It also provides links to information about upcoming hospice and palliative care events as well as job opportunities.
