NEW! AMS Cage Card Creation

AMS EXPERIMENTAL STOCK SOP

Starting April 17, 2024 we will change how we use AMS (Animal Management System) following a CCAC recommendation. This is required to ensure animal use numbers are accurately tracked and reported.

AMS terminals have been installed accross all animal facilities which will allow all users to access AMS at point of use and create/print cage cards as needed within the experimental module of AMS. The SOP above describes the step-by-step instructions to create cage cards from the AMS terminals. Note that much of the process can be completed on your own device ahead of logging into the actual tablet in the facility for printing.

This change in the cage card process is the minimum required to ensure compliance. We didn't want to ask any more of you than was necessary. That being said, AMS does have much more to offer anyone interested in diving deeper into colony management within the breeding module for example.
