MC3H Summer Internship

What is the MC3H Summer Internship Program? 

The internship offers McGill undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain experience through participation in research projects. During the summer, each intern is involved in a research project at the intersection of climate change and health under the supervision of a member of the McGill Centre for Climate Change and Health and will receive a modest stipend. 

Who can apply? (Eligibility Criteria) 

  • Senior undergraduate (U2 and above) and graduate students at McGill (MD/MDCM students included)

  • Students from all disciplines  

  • Students interested in research at the intersection of climate change and health 

  • Student that is in good academic standing and returning in Fall 2026 (proof of enrollment required) 

What do Interns do? 

  • Supervisors will distribute hours at their own discretion and will therefore be project specific.

  • Develop a work plan in collaboration with your supervisor outlining the activities and contributions for your internship.  

  • Present the results of their research at Global Health Night student poster session in Fall 2026 and/or an MC3H mini-seminar. 

What do Interns get out of this program? 

  • Earn $3,000 over the course of the internship.  

  • Gain hands-on research experience in a vibrant, interdisciplinary academic setting.  

  • Have the opportunity to present your work, fostering knowledge translation and public speaking skills. 

  • Develop your professional network through work with your supervisor.
