Welcome to the Child Phonology Lab!

Home

Our lab is a fun group of undergraduate student volunteers, graduate student research assistants, masters students (applied program) and doctoral students (research program). Collectively we are dedicated to the study of speech development and disorders. Our projects are concerned with the (1) environmental factors and learning mechanisms that explain the emergence of babbling during infancy in children with normal and impaired hearing; (2) the efficacy of interventions to treat developmental speech sound disorders, including phonological disorders and motor speech disorders; (3) the creation of software tools to assess and support speech, language and literacy development. We have conducted studies and created tools for English, French, Arabic and Spanish speaking children. Welcome to our website where you can learn more about our projects, our publications and our products.
