Canadian composer Brian Cherney has been Professor of Music Composition at McGill University since 1972. He has cultivated a distinctive body of work and an enduring legacy as a composition teacher and scholar of Canadian music.
We're accepting proposals for paper presentations, performances and lecture-recitals.

From October 27-28, 2017, people from many disciplines will come together to develop and disseminate research on Brian Cherney's work and musical world.
There are four conference organizers, all performers and/or composers who have studied with Brian Cherney or performed his works.
Conference director Aiyun Huang is a professor at McGill University's Schulich School of Music.
All events will take place on McGill's downtown Montreal campus, at the Schulich School of Music.
