Call for applications, Postdoctoral researcher in rural demography
Applications are invited for a position as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre on Population Dynamics, McGill University, Québec, Canada, under the supervision of Shelley Clark, James McGill Professor of Sociology. The initial appointment will be for one year but the appointment may be renewed for a second year based on performance.
Substantive Focus
Professor Zoua Vang gave a March 4, 2019 workshop entitled “What’s Making Us Sick? Race, discrimination and the deterioration of immigrants’ health advantage” at the University of Minnesota, co-sponsored by the Asian Economic Development Association and the Department of Sociology, U of MN.
Professor Zoua Vang presented “Barriers of systemic discrimination in health and social services for visible minorities, immigrants and Indigenous populations” at the Center of Research-Action on Race Relations (CRARR)’s Forum on Systemic Discrimination or Bad Service? Effective Strategies to Challenge Systemic Barriers in Public and Private Services on March 16, 2019.
Professor Zoua Vang’s CIHR-funded longitudinal study with Nunavik Inuit communities was featured in The McGill Reporter as part of International Women’s Day.
