We are proud of Ulrich Legrand, Co-Founder and Technical Director of Electro Carbon, who after completing his PhD and a postdoctoral fellowship with Prof. Jean-Luc Meunier, became an entrepreneur and won the Mitacs Environmental Entrepreneurship Award for his technology that transforms CO2, responsible for greenhouse gases (GHGs), into a commercial product.

Congrats to Sophia Roy (Chemical Engineering undergraduate student) is one of four McGill students to win a 2021 Quebec Lieutenant Governor Youth medal. The award recognizes the involvement, determination and constant striving of Quebecers who have or have had a positive influence in their community.

Congratulations Ranjan Roy, second author of this recently published article. Many Chemical Analysis techniques were done in the Chemical Engineering Lab. He helped prepare the spectroscopic analysis methods and data interpretation. Way to go!
