Negotiations with COFAM
On April 16, McGill University and the Confederation of Faculty Associations of McGill (COFAM) held a scheduled bargaining session. During this meeting, the University presented five new non‑monetary counter‑proposals addressing sabbatical leaves, tenure‑track professor regulations, contract academic staff (CAS) regulations, retirement provisions, and a new professional development leave option for CAS members.
The session also marked the participation of AMPS, the newly formed union representing faculty members in the Faculty of Science, which joined the discussions. The next bargaining session is scheduled for April 27, 2026.
The University remains committed to continuing constructive discussions with the goal of advancing negotiations.
