Update on negotiations with AMUSE (casual employees)

Published: 3 November 2016

The parties met in the presence of the conciliator on Friday, October 28 and resumed their exploratory discussions on the applicability of the article on the posting and the granting of assignments for assignments governed by financial aid programs such as the Work Study Program.

Several proposals were made by each of the parties. The discussions did not however lead to an agreement on this topic.

Shortly after the meeting was adjourned, the union informed the employer it was calling a five-day strike from 7 a.m. on October 29 to 11:59 p.m. on November 2. The union and the employer then met to discuss the essential services to be provided and came to an agreement on this matter.

The next meeting is set for November 10.

This update is meant to inform the community about ongoing negotiations and has been validated by the union.
