Message from Principal and Vice-Chancellor Heather Munroe-Blum

Dear Members of the University Community,

Further to my message of Friday, November 11 2001, I am attaching my letter to Dean Jutras setting out terms for the independent investigation which he has agreed to undertake.

Upon receipt of Dean Jutras’ report and recommendations, I will make them public. It is my intention to include the report on the agendas of the Senate and Board in the New Year and to provide an administrative response following discussions by these bodies.

I expect that Dean Jutras himself will be communicating with you directly regarding the process he will follow for his investigation.

I am grateful to Dean Jutras for his willingness to serve the community and I have full confidence that he will conduct a thorough and impartial investigation that will serve McGill well, going forward.
