Media advisory: Safe sex haven debuts at McGill

Published: 21 September 2005

McGill Student Health Services is having fun with the Austin Powers buzzword "shagalicious" in naming a new storefront on campus.

In a Quebec first, McGill has created an oasis for students to talk and learn about safe sex practices right on campus. The swank shop, dubbed "shagalicious," is designed to emulate a 21st-century shag pad, and comes fully stocked with items ranging from condoms to dental dams. Trained student staff, known as "sexperts," are on hand to assist peers in making healthy, informed choices.

Who: Pioneering advocate & researcher in safe sex
What: Opening of the Shagalicious Shop
Where: 3511 Peel Street
When: Thursday, September 22, 11 am-12:30 pm
