Published: 24 March 2005

A team of four BCom students (Philippe Charette, Monika Dygut, Kate Malcolm and Imran Siddiqui) finished first overall at the Scotiabank International Case Competition, held at the Ivey School of Business on March 16-19, 2005.

In the fall 2004 semester, they first participated in the Case Analysis and Presentation course, and then were chosen to represent McGill. A special thanks goes to Professor Larry Goldsman, who devoted much time and energy to coaching the team.

The 16th annual Scotiabank International Case Competition attracted business students from 10 countries, namely Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand.

Due to their exceptional performance in the first round, the McGill team moved on to the finals, competing against teams from Hong Kong, Queen's and the Czech Republic. At the final banquet, McGill were crowned first overall, a wonderful accomplishment!
