Hope and hustle at McGill University Dobson Cup competition

McGill University's Dobson Cup Business Plan Competition has just wrapped up its 2012 edition. With more than 90 submissions, up from 58 last year, the competition's fourth year was fierce, fun and fantastically diverse.

...The brainchild of Jakub Dzamba, a Ph.D candidate in architecture at McGill, 3MF created a farming system to raise crickets, feed them bio waste, humanely euthanize and roast them and convert them into a high-protein flour. And these guys won third prize!

Second prize went to MBA graduate Avery Rueb. A CEGEP language teacher with a penchant for gaming and applied linguistics, Avery created an online platform language learning.
