For Feb.17, due to the storm, McGill teaching and work must be done remotely. Classes that cannot be done remotely will be cancelled. Labs and evaluations will be rescheduled, as appropriate. Only the McLennan Library is open for study (see hours). All other libraries are closed for the day.

2014 Dobson Cup participant on how winning changed her

Montreal-based Lantinga Vita is all about merging functionality, a chic design and sustainability. The company’s Tempus bag is an Italian-made, multi-functional bag that boasts a compartment for a 15” laptop and a thermal pocket for food. The company’s founder and CEO, Nina Lantinga, recently spoke with The Dobson Chronicles about the entrepreneurial life, growing her business and winning the Grit Prize at the McGill Dobson Cup 2014.

On founding a startup, Lantinga is philosophical. “For one thing, I design the products although I’ve never had formal training in that field,” but she’s quick to point out that McGill had plenty of courses to help get her around learning Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
