Leacock Building 855 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 2T7, CA

On Thursday February 9th, the IGSF and Media@McGill are co-sponsoring an event that features free screenings of the 2011 award-winning documentary film "Miss Representation" and a panel discussion on issues of women's representation in the media that evening from 7-9pm.  Our screenings mark the film's debut in Montreal, and we hope you will join us for a viewing and for the panel conversation and reception that follow.  We have invited an esteemed group of women to discuss several key issues about women and girls' misrepresentation by the media the film addresses, and ways we can directly challenge these systems of representation.  Panelists include Judy Rebick, a leader in the Canadian women's movement and founder of rabble.ca; Francine Pelletier, journalist and founder of the feminist alternative publication La Vie en Rose; Anne Lagacé-Dowson, journalist and CJAD radio talk show host; and Martine Vallée, Director of Social and Consumer Policies at the Canadian Radio-Television Telecommunications Commission.

Please note: While seating is still available, registration for the evening panel is required due to space limitations. Please register here Misrepresentation registration or call 514.398.3911
