Lecture followed by an Area of Practice Dinner ($10) at the McGill Faculty Club from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. To register for the dinner, please contact Alika Hendricks. The Black Law Students Association presents Marlene Jennings, MP, the first black woman from Quebec to have been elected to Parliament. She has been sitting for Notre-Dame-de-Grâce / Lachine since 1997, and is involved in several special committees at the House of Commons, including the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights. Prior to her election, she was Deputy Commissioner for Police Ethics for the Province of Quebec (1990-97). She will discuss her career in law and politics. $10 for dinner following the talk
