The Campaign to End Crimes against Future Generations

Monday, March 14, 2011 12:30to14:00
Chancellor Day Hall 3644 rue Peel, Montreal, QC, H3A 1W9, CA

Sébastien Jodoin, BCL/LLB'05, will be at the Faculty to present the Campaign to End Crimes against Future Generations. The Campaign raises awareness of the severity of serious violations of economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights by seeking their recognition as crimes under international law. It aims to deliver on the promise of three years of legal research on the need to create a new international crime to protect a broader variety of human rights under international law.

The Campaign works in partnership with the World Future Council and the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law and benefits from the advice of leading environmental and human rights NGOs and advocates. You can find out more about the Campaign at: www.crimesagainstfuturegenerations.org.
