April 2019|Prof. Morton Weinfield involved in a review of the National Census with Statistics Canada.

Professor Morton Weinfeld has been involved with Statistics Canada in a review and evaluation of the national census and other questions used to measure Canadian diversity, notably language, ethnic origin, religion, and visible minority status. As part of this process, Statistics Canada will be holding large public consultations in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. The consultation meetings will involve academics, various community representatives,  members of the public,  and government officials at various levels. Professor Weinfeld, has been invited to serve on the discussion panel for the Toronto event, on April 30 (https://www.statcan.gc.ca/eng/events/data-story/ethnocultural-toronto-20190429).
