Biography: 

Dr. Catherine Paquet is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesia at McGill University and a Staff Anesthesiologist at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and the Shriners Hospital for Children. She completed her Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Dr. Paquet has a long-standing commitment to postgraduate medical education. As a graduate of the McGill Teaching Scholars Program, her scholarly project focused on enhancing teaching and feedback practices during the anesthesiology rotation. She has held several educational leadership positions, including Resident Coordinator and Anesthesia Competency Committee Chair. Her Royal College involvement includes serving on both the written and oral Examination Committees, and she is a member of the Anesthesiology Subspecialty Committee. She also currently serves as Program Director for the McGill Anesthesiology Residency Program.

She is actively involved in simulation-based education, working as Simulation Coordinator in the Anesthesia Department at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and participating as a member of the Centre for Pediatric Simulation.

In her spare time, Dr. Paquet enjoys spending time with family, reading (you'll see her reading while walking in the hallways), swimming, biking, cross-country skiing, tap dancing, and cooking.
