END OF YEAR PICNIC - June 1, 2026

Thanks to all who traveled to Mac Campus for the picnic and science games on June 1st 2026.

AMR MIXER - March 11, 2026

Thanks to everyone who came to the graduate-undergraduate student mixer for a fun meet and greet at Gert's Bar (SSMU) 3480 Rue McTavish! Special thanks to graduate students Gillian Cameron, Arianna Giurleo, Kyle story, Rewant Chauhan, Brenna Fox, and Bridget O'Brien for speaking about the AMR research in their labs and possible undergraduate or graduate research opportunities.

2025 World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) - November 18-24, 2025

World AMR (Antimicrobial Resistance) Awareness Week, November 18-24, 2025 is an annual global campaign to improve awareness and understanding of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and encourage best practices among the public, One Health stakeholders and policymakers, who all play a critical role in reducing the emergence and spread of AMR. Go Blue for AMR Awareness Challenge throughout WAAW!

Students, researchers, clinicians, professors and the public unite! From November 18-24 (WAAW), post your photos wearing blue on instagram or twitter and tag us at @mcgill_amr_centre with the #GoBlueWithMcGill and #GoBlueForAMR. Each tag count as an entry in our GoBlue Raffle for the chance to win a prize!

Tuesday November 18th and Thursday 20th: Public Booth Pop-Up Event at the Mac campus on Tuesday Nov 18 and at the Redpath Library, and RI-MUHC Atrium on Thursday Nov 20th.
Visit our public booths at these locations to see how much you know about the grave threat AMR poses to humanity. Test your knowledge with an AMR game for the chance to win a prize and treats!

Wednesday November 19th: 7th Annual MI4 Scientific Symposium on "Solutions to Antimicrobial Resistance"  - at the McGill Faculty Club from 11:30 am - 5:30 pm with Professor Stewart Cole, Executive Chair of the Ineos Oxford Institute. View the program.

Friday November 21st: AMR seminar with Dr Eric J Nelson, MD (University of Florida) from 12 - 1 PM at the Goodman Cancer Institute's Karp Conference Room (501)

Monday November 24th: Student Roundtable: Updates from the World Health Organization on AMR, a virtual discussion and presentation on the World Health Organization’s latest reports on AMR, and to share your experiences regarding AMR. 

TRIVIA NIGHT - OCTOBER 28, 2025

Thanks for joining us at the Thomson House in room 404 (3rd floor) on October 28th at 6 pm for an evening of fun trivia and getting to know some fellow students! 

MOVIE NIGHT - April 23, 2025

The AMR Outreach team hosted the movie screening of "The Truth About Antibiotics" for students on campus at the 3475 Peel Street screening room. We had several new faces who watched as reporter Angela Rippon explored scientific breakthroughs in the battle against antibiotic-resistant infections and visited doctors on the front line.
