Start of negotiations with AGSEM invigilators

The first meeting was held on June 12.  The parties introduced their respective negotiating teams. They exchanged their set of proposals and discussed how the bargaining process should unfold. The parties also agreed on a shared communications approach throughout the bargaining process.

HVAC work in Macdonald Campus Library

Please be advised that the entire Level 3 quiet study floor will be closed off from Jun 18 through July 31, due to heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning work currently underway in the Macdonald Campus Library. There will also be noise, vibrations and ventilation shutdowns in other areas during this period.

Staff will be able to access the closed-off areas once a day. Please continue to request items through the library catalogue, or visit the Library Services desk.

McGill’s postdoctoral fellows now unionized

McGill’s postdoctoral fellows received their accreditation from the Commission des relations du travail on June 9, 2015. They become the third bargaining unit of AMURE/PSAC, which already includes research associates and research assistants.
