Welcome to First Peoples’ House
‘A Home Away from Home’
Here at the First Peoples’ House, we strive to provide a “home away from home” for First Nations, Inuit and Métis students at McGill University. We provide a space where students can find academic support and stay connected to Indigenous culture. Playing many roles, including those of residence, gathering place and resource centre, it is first and foremost a community. We aim to support students starting from their first arrival on campus, with orientation events to introduce them to student life at McGill. Throughout the school year, we hold a variety of events, including our annual Pow-Wow, community dinners, social activities, weekly soup and bannock lunches, and a series of guest speakers.
The First Peoples’ house is here for you, so please don’t hesitate to stop by at 3505 Peel Street. We’re open Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
