A brown bag seminar with Rosa Freedman, Senior Lecturer, Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham.

Dr. Rosa Freedman has written extensively on the UN Human Rights Council and is currently undertaking a British Academy funded project on the UN Human Rights Special Procedures (Special Rapporteurs, Working Groups and Independent Experts).

Freedman has published two books, Failing to Protect: The UN and Politicisation of Human Rights (Hurst; OUP, 2014) and The United Nations Human Rights Council: A Critique and Early Assessment (Routledge, 2013) as well as numerous academic and media articles. She works closely with the UN and with state governments, and sits on the advisory boards of international NGOs.
