Last-passage percolation, polymers and integer partitions

In this talk I will discuss recent results concerning discrete probabilistic models, including last passage percolation and polymers. One common theme will be integer partitions and the Robinson-Schensted correspondence. Another is the KPZ universality conjecture about the fluctuations of certain observables of these models.

Based on joint work with Nicos Georgiou (Sussex), John Harnad (Concordia) and Neil O'Connell (Bristol).
