An Evening of Testimony and Film: A Fundraising Event for Law Students in Zimbabwe

The event features a screening of the movie "The Interpreter"
along with testimonials about life and learning in Zimbabwe from
law students in Zimbabwe and from representatives of Zimbabwe
Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR), the recipients of Rights &
Democracy's 2008 John Humphrey Freedom Award.
The evening is a fundraiser for law students in Zimbabwe, who are
in desperate need of school supplies and law textbooks.
McGill Rights & Democracy Network is presenting this event to
raise awareness of the situation facing lawyers and law students in
Zimbabwe. Although attendance at the event is free, attendees
may make a donation to assist their fellow students. Popcorn and
other snacks will be available.
