Supply Chain Diversity through Cross-Sector Collaboration: Creating Social Impact Without Losing Sight of the Bottom Line

Join Desautels Professor Patricia Faison Hewlin and her co-discussants Mary Anderson, President of WBE Canada, and Tracy Joshua, Vice-President of KNA Procurement at Kellogg’s, as they discuss social and business benefits of cross-sector collaboration among business and government agencies, not for profit organizations, and management scholars for integrating more businesses led by women, Aboriginal, and minorities into global supply chains.  This expert panel will offer insight from corporate, advocacy and academic perspectives, and share innovative strategies for effectively implementing sustainable and equitable procurement practices without losing sight of the bottom line.

The Social Economy Initiative (SEI) is an important vehicle through which the Desautels Faculty of Management integrates social entrepreneurship and social innovation more formally into its teaching, research and outreach activities. It is an undertaking of the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management.
