Researchers get inaugural Foundation grants for high-impact, long-term programs

Researchers from the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, McGill University have been awarded over $15 million in grants in the latest round of funding by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The grants are part of a $675 million (CHECK) national funding announcement made July 28 by Minister of Health Rona Ambrose.

Windows 10: IT Services urges users to wait

Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 10, will be publically available on July 29th. Since Microsoft is offering it free of charge for many users, and it includes several significant improvements, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding its release. This new version of Windows sees fundamental change to its look and feel, in addition to what’s under the hood. One of these changes includes the upgrade process itself, which is now simpler than ever. Early adopters of Windows 10 can upgrade from Windows 7 or 8 almost as easily as installing monthly Windows updates.
