On May 23rd, 2013, the McGill Writing Centre (MWC) will bring together students, faculty, and industry insiders in the fields of web design and consultation, social media strategy and networking, and marketing and communications for a roundtable discussion on the relatively new and rapidly evolving world of social media. What role do social media play in marketing and public relations strategy? What impact do social media have on content authoring?

The Management Undergraduate Society (MUS) has awarded the 2013 Faculty Member of the Year Award to Christine Boynton. This annual award recognizes an administrative member's meaningful involvement with the student body. It is the highest honour given by the undergraduate student body at the Desautels Faculty of Management.
AGSEM invigilators voted by more than 90% in favour of ratifying the agreement in principle presented to them at a general assembly held on May 15. The parties are now in the process of finalizing the wording of the collective agreement in both languages. The final version of the two-year contract should be signed in June. This will be the invigilators’ first collective agreement.
