Architects (NOC 2151)

 

Architects conceptualize, plan and develop designs for the construction and renovation of commercial, institutional and residential buildings. They are employed by architectural firms, private corporations and governments, or they may be self-employed.

 

BALANCE: Labour demand and labour supply are expected to be broadly in line for this occupation group over the 2017-2026 period at the national level. The section below contains more detailed information regarding the outlook for this occupational group.

 

For Architects, over the period 2017-2026, new job openings (arising from expansion demand and replacement demand) are expected to total 7,800, while 7,400 new job seekers (arising from school leavers, immigration and mobility) are expected to be available to fill them. Learn More
