Meet Shrabani Debroy (she/her) and Heleen Loohuis (she/her), the Local Wellness Advisors (LWAs) for the Faculty of Law
- Both Shrabani and Heleen's roles as Local Wellness Advisors involve connecting students to appropriate resources on-and-off campus, providing psychoeducational and skills-based workshops, outreach and wellness promotion, as well as individual one-on-one appointments.
- As a mental health professional, Shrabani is the full-time Local Wellness Advisor for the Faculty of Law. Shrabani’s role provides in-house mental-health care for law students where they can make appointments to discuss anything and everything wellness related! Shrabani's office is full of natural light and plants, ready to welcome you on the fourth floor of New Chancellor Day Hall, Room 435.
- As a mental health professional, Heleen is the part-time Local Wellness Advisor for the Faculty of Law. Heleen has worked in mental health care services and evaluation for over a decade. She is a strong believer in easy and quick access to the right type of care. Heleen's office can be found in Old Chancellor Day Hall, Room 24.
- Apart from #BuildingAHealthierMcGill, Shrabani's passions are fashion and portrait photography. Heleen says she loves to sing in the shower, and she recommends it to everyone, no matter how good of a singer you think you are.
A highlight of working at the Hub for Shrabani is, "working with students. Our students are so proactive, resilient, and insightful! I am so proud to see my students work hard to implement changes to take charge of their psychological health!"
A highlight of working at the Hub for Heleen is, "being part of an incredible interdisciplinary team, learning from each other, and working collaboratively on providing rapid and good quality care to students.”
