Bioresource Engineering is an interdisciplinary program that integrates engineering, design and the biological sciences. It is a unique profession that applies engineering principles to the enhancement and sustainability of the world’s natural resources. Bioresource Engineers seek solutions to problems that involve plants, animals and the environment.

Students who select the Professional Agronomy option of the Bioresource Engineering program qualify to register as Professional Agronomists with the OAQ, in addition to being eligible to register with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec as Professional Engineers. Professional Agronomists have expertise in the science and technology of producing and using plants for food, fuel, fiber, and reclamation.
