Current research:
Prof. Lessard's research area is composite materials. His projects related to sustainable uses of composites include recycling and reusing of carbon fiber and fiberglass materials, use of eco-friendly natural fiber materials, manufacturing methods for turning waste materials into useful building materials and finding solutions to replace materials that come from endangered species of wood.
