Session Objectives:

  1. Gain knowledge and understanding of the nature and manifestations of stress related to COVID-19 and to the resulting changes in postgraduate medical trainees’ personal and professional lives.
  2. Learn to distinguish between sources of stress within and outside of trainees’ control and how to approach each using evidence-based strategies.
  3. Learn about and apply diverse self-care practices known to alleviate stress and sustain resilience during times marked by uncertainty and fear.

This session will include psychoeducation, self-reflection and experiential exercises, and a question period. The session will be recorded in order to be made available to trainees who are unable to attend, but will be edited to exclude resident comments and questions.
