  Albert is a member of the colorectal surgery team at AdventHealth Medical
  Group in Orlando\, FL\, which he founded in July 2004. A Fellow of the Am
 erican Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons and of the American College of S
 urgeons. his specialties include Minimally Invasive Surgery for colorectal
  cancer\, transanal and endoluminal approaches to colorectal cancer\, as w
 ell as sphincter preserving techniques in rectal cancer surgery. He invent
 ed the revolutionary technique known as TAMIS (transanal minimally invasiv
 e surgery)\, in 2009\, and created the first FDA approved\, flexible trans
 anal platform with Applied Medical. He also helped develop and teach taTME
  for rectal cancer\, as well as lateral pelvic lymph node dissection (LPND
 ) developing an international reputation through the numerous training cou
 rses performed around the world.\n\nHe is the founder of the ACGME-accredi
 ted colorectal fellowship\, which trains 4 surgeons yearly\, including two
  international positions. He is the Medical Director for Surgical Innovati
 on at the Digestive Health and Surgical Institute at AdventHealth. In this
  role\, he continues to direct advanced courses in minimally invasive colo
 rectal surgery at the Nicholson Center\, training surgeons from around the
  world as well as trialing the latest surgical innovations. He has the lar
 gest experience with TAMIS procedures in the world and has performed more 
 than 5\,000 laparoscopic and robotic colorectal resections\, training thou
