Dr Gerry Fried will be the 2021 recipient of the Duncan Graham Award

Dear Colleagues,

I am happy to share the news that Dr Gerry Fried will be the 2021 recipient of the Duncan Graham Award for Outstanding Contribution to Medical Education from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. This prestigious award has been continually bestowed since 1969 to recognize an outstanding lifelong contribution to medical education. Among his many contributions to the House of Surgery, Dr Fried is recognized as a leading innovator and leader in surgical simulation and education. Dr Fried joins Drs Richard Cruess (1997), LD MacLean (1995) and Fraser Gurd (1985) as McGill surgeons to have received this recognition.
