Développement international : This is a general survey course intended to familiarize students with the complexities surrounding the interaction between culture and development from a variety of theoretical perspectives. Specific themes may include religion, democracy, gender, diaspora communities and the environment, using relevant case studies from the developing world.

  • Prerequisite(s): A 200 or 300 level course related to International Development, or permission of instructor.

  • Restriction(s): Not open to students who have taken INTD 397 with the same topic: "Culture and Development" prior to Fall 2017. Open to U2 and U3 students only.
