**Before applying to any of the opportunities listed below, be sure to first check in with your Faculty's Student Affairs Office and remember to take note of any study away application deadlines.**

FU-BEST Internship

Freie Universität Berlin European Studies Program (FU-BEST) now offers an 8-week full-time internship placement with companies and organizations in Berlin that is accompanied by an intercultural internship colloquium and awards 10 ECTS credits upon successful completion.

Students can explore workplaces in categories as diverse as Business, Marketing, Management, Media and Communications, Finance, Politics, Nonprofits, the Sciences or Art in German or English – German language abilities are recommended but not mandatory.

From 2018 on, the program will also be open to standalone participants, i.e. without completing the regular FU-BEST Spring semester beforehand. Students interested in this option should contact the university as soon as possible about any additional logistical requirements (applying for a visa; finding accommodation etc.).

Here are the dates for the 2018 Internship:

Internship 2018 : May 18 – July 13
Application Deadline: February 21, 2018 (for students admitted to the FU-BEST Spring 2018 semester)
Standalone Application Deadline: December 1, 2017

Amgen Scholars Japan Program

Designed to inspire the scientists of tomorrow, the Amgen Scholars program provides undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in a compelling, 10-week, scientific research experience at a world-leading university in Japan over the summer.

The application period for the program is now open for Summer 2018, with an application deadline of February 1, 2018.
