Student Association Listservs
A number of different student associations have a weekly/bi-weekly listserv that they send to the population of students within that particular Faculty/School. Different listservs have different requirements for word count, and what they consider to be relevant to their student population.
AUS (Arts Undergraduate Society)
- Target population: Undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts
- Visit http://ausmcgill.com/community/new-listing/ and select the option for ‘Listserv’ on the form
BASiC (Bachelor or Arts and Science Integrative Council)
- Target population: Undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Arts & Science program

EdUS (Education Undergraduate Society)
- Target population: Undergraduate students in the Faculty of Education

McGill e-NewsLetters
Similar to the student association listservs, a number of McGill offices/groups produce a regular listserv to their population of students.
CaPScoop
- A listserv to students with information regarding career planning sent out by Career Planning Service (CaPS)

“What’s New?”: McGill employees
- Target population: McGill employees

- Items for the staff and faculty WN@M must be submitted no later than 11:30 a.m. the day before the issue in which it is supposed to appear (Tuesday or Thursday).
“What’s New?”: Students
- Target population: All students
- Email whatsnew.publicaffairs [at] mcgill.ca expressing interest
- WN@M for students is issued every Sunday during the school year. All submissions must be sent by noon on the Wednesday before the issue in which it is supposed to appear.
CL&E’s First-Year 5
- Target population: First-year undergraduate students

- Sent twice a month
SKILLSETS Info-Bulletin
- Target population: Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
- Email skillsets [at] mcgill.ca expressing interest
- 50-word blurb or less for events and announcements
- 25-word blurb or less for teaching checklist and “learn more about”s
- For each blurb, a high-resolution picture must also be sent
- Submission deadline varies. Confirm upcoming deadline with Mary-Jo

Healthy McGill
- A listserv to students with information regarding wellbeing and healthy living
- Email health.promotion [at] mcgill.ca expressing interest
For events at Macdonald Campus: Email stuserv.macdonald [at] mcgill.ca with your promo materials (text, image, or anything you have). Content can be posted on their website, Facebook page, weekly campus newsletter, and emailed to the Mac undergrad and grad student societies.
Almost every department council has its own listserv. You may be able to reach a more specific audience by targeting relevant departmental listservs.
