We have compiled resources, procedures, and tips to make your leadership experience at McGill as #flawless as possible. By following the links on the left-hand panel, you can navigate through each section and discover important information and wisdom from previous student leaders.

Below, you will find icons used throughout the sections that denote important information or hints. Our Pro Tips are based on input from experienced student executives and will help you in your own endeavours. 

Look out for the Pro Tip icon to find tips and tricks of the trade. These will prove to be helpful in sections to act as reminders or key pieces of information. #lifehacks

The Presidential Portfolio icon offers suggestions for protocols to be completed by the President, Chief Returning Officer (CRO), Speaker of the Council, or committees under the Presidential portfolio. 

The Finance Portfolio icon will be used when discussing matters regarding budgeting, security, audits, and financial matters.

The Social Portfolio icon will be used when discussing matters for social events and parties, including security, logistics, venues, themes, and more!





The External Portfolio icon will signify matters regarding relationships with the Montreal community, communications with other schools, philanthropy, and possible dealings with other councils on campus. 

The Communications Portfolio icon will refer to any matters involving communication online or on-campus. This could include social media, publicity, listservs, and teams under the Communications portfolio.


The Internal Portfolio icon represents the workings and liasing of bodies falling under the aegis organisation, whether those are departments, standing committees, coordinators, or working groups.

The Academic Portfolio icon represents information pertinant to the VP Academic, committees, or events under the Academic Portfolio. 

The SSMU icon will signify matters of relevance specifically to SSMU clubs and services.
