But what exactly is the connection between th ese relationships and “the work”\, and how do we build authentic relations hips if they do not already exist? This presentation connects lessons from a series of past and current research partnerships with Anishnaabe unders tandings of kinship (Enawendiwin) and other forms of Anishnaabe ethical kn owledge for insights into university-Indigenous research partnerships.\n\n  \n\nDr. Nicholas J. Reo is a citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Ch ippewa Indians. He is an Assistant Professor of Native American and Enviro nmental Studies at Dartmouth College where he studies Indigenous knowledge and ecological stewardship on Indigenous lands.
