From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Global Health Awardee: Matthew Hunt, PT, PhD

The Canadian Physiotherapy Association's Global Health Award serves to:•Increase the awareness of global health;•Recognize outstanding contributions made by a physiotherapist to promote the profession internationally through educational ventures, program and/or policy development, practice or research collaborations;•Promote the development of global health activities within the profession and CPA.

Matthew Hunt, PT, PhD has been awarded this recognition in honour of his work in the field of global health.The principles that are of importance are: •Participation in programs that focus on sustainable development and capacity building; •Promoting the use of local resources and technology to develop aspects of rehabilitation; •Adapting and applying knowledge and expertise to suit the needs and wants of the local community.

The recipient in 2020 is Dr. Matt Hunt, PT, PhD, Associate Professor in the PT Program of the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy, McGill University!
