Wisdom of Leisure (March 13, 2019)

McLennan Library Building Room# MS74, 3459 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0C9, CA

Folk wisdom goes "Work First, Play Later." In this workshop, we will show why, in reality, it would be similar to "Play More to Work Better." Rather than focusing on the commonly known biochemical benefits such as endorphin release during play, we offer a change in perspective of how we view and approach leisure.

By the end of the workshop, you will:

  1. You will be able to recognize the impact of leisure in the development of your professional skills and translate them from leisure into the professional domain.

  2. You will be able to determine optimal times for different kinds of mental and physical activities based on your individual circadian rhythms (biological clock).
