Runs over 3-consecutive weekends: November 10-11, November 17-18, November 24-25 from 9:00am - 5:00pm each day.
The minds and machine lecture series has organized a machine learning course to introduce the basic concepts of machine learning in the context of medical research. This workshop is ideal for beginners who do not have any previous experience in programming and python. The morning sessions are primarily theory and the afternoon sessions will focus on practical exercises using python.
The learning objectives are to:
Familiarize researchers with the basic concepts of machine learning and also to learn how to do machine learning using python.
Create a network of researchers at the satellite campuses of McGill such as the Glen site.
Understand how machine learning can be applied to specific fields of research.
Participants are expected to attend the entire workshop (6 days).
